It was as much a reunion as it was a wedding celebration for Ken Eun and Min Chung. We love how this South Korean couple living in New York had a most intimate garden wedding at Alila Villas Uluwatu in Bali, Indonesia. Planning a destination wedding can be a stressful affair, especially with the remote sourcing and organising, but kudos to this awesome bride for pulling it off so beautifully. Kee Uen was browsing on Pinterest when she fell in love with the blush on green theme. Combining bronze, brass and tan with varying shades of blush, the couple’s wedding was a dignified display of the features she liked, including the monstera leaf and the king protea flower. Trees sparkled with fairy lights, casting a romantic glow over loved ones as they dined beneath a sunset sky.
Kee Eun shared: “This was as much a vacation and mini get-together for everyone as it was a wedding. I wanted everyone to feel comfortable during their stay and for the wedding to feel more like a big gathering rather than just my special day.
“I chose Alila Villas Uluwatu after looking at attractive photos of the venue online. I was a little concerned at first, since I was in New York and could not visit to view it in person. However, after talking to Nanik of Alila, I was sure I could trust them with my wedding. They were very professional and really helpful with my questions and concerns. The DiktatPhotography team was also professional and kept us comfortable during our wedding shoots.”
Tips from the bride: “Since I didn’t engage a wedding planner, I kept a folder of all the information I gathered from vendors. I also referenced Pinterest, which helped tremendously in determining the creative direction. The more visuals you see, the clearer you will be about what you want.”
