Outdoor weddings mean you’re at the mercy of unpredictable weather, and for this lucky couple, their wedding was blessed with last minute sunshine! They got to exchange their vows against the backdrop of a picturesque sunset by the beach, with the salty sea breeze and a beautiful flower arch. Pastel colours and florals added a sweet romantic touch to the décor, and we especially love the different bridesmaid dress styles. May: “Every single thing was amazing and memorable! It was an outdoor wedding and forecasts from various sources indicated a thunderstorm for that day. The weather for the few days before the wedding was consistently thunderstorms. We were all prepared for the wet weather plan and I thought months of wedding preparations were going to be washed away by the rain.
“But on our wedding day, it drizzled a bit during the rehearsal that afternoon and then it stopped. We were all holding our breaths till the very last minute… and then a miracle happened! The sun came out from behind the dark clouds and the weather was perfect throughout the matrimonial ceremony and dinner. Both Gentry and I have been so blessed by God in many ways, including our wonderful friends and families who prayed for us and journeyed with us throughout our wedding. We are forever grateful!
“We wanted an outdoor wedding by the beach and our venue was perfect – a garden overlooking the Straits of Malacca. Our matrimonial ceremony was held during sunset, so we thought warm colours would be great. We love white and pastel colours so we chose white, gold, faded pink and faded grey as our colour palette. We had thank you cards with a heartfelt message from us to each guest who attended the wedding – we thought it would be a good and simple memento for our guests to keep.”
