Geometric Shapes Met Vintage Glam For This Wedding At Glasshouse At Seputeh

This wedding was the perfect mix of simple and grand, old and new, vintage and glamour. The couple even had the cutest hashtag to go with it – #soyawedscincau! From the bride’s wedding dress, which looked simple from the front but was dramatic and breathtaking from the back, to the reception, just about everything was truly a sight to behold. The colour theme of maroon certainly set the tone, making the celebration romantic, mysterious and dreamy all at the same time, and we love that ingenious table arrangement idea! Many thanks to Anna-Rina Photography for capturing (and sharing) such a lovely set of photos.

A Gold And Tiffany Blue DIY Wedding At Suffolk House, Penang

Choosing to DIY your own wedding can be overwhelming, but this bride and groom each picked out a colour and ran with their ideas. She chose gold while he chose Tiffany blue – two colours that look amazing together, much like the couple themselves. With joyful yellow balloons decorating the wedding aisle, the bridesmaids (each in mismatched bridesmaid outfits) walked down the aisle with parasols in lieu of floral bouquets. For the reception, the vintage decorative elements, such as the gold painted wine bottles, perfectly contrasted against the modern chandeliers of the venue. Thanks to Anna-Rina Photography for this beautiful set of photos that capture the unbridled joy and happy…

This Day Last Year At Tanarimba

This is no ordinary post. A month ago, William sent us an email saying that he wanted to submit his wedding story to surprise his wife, who will be abroad for their anniversary. He said that she has always wanted to send us their story, but never got around to doing it. How thoughtful of him! We’re amazed that he could provide us with all the details of his wedding vendors. He’s a good man, Trisha, and we hope you can feel his love from afar. Thanks to Anna-Rina and Matt for capturing these beautiful memories. “Hi dear, I hope this post is a surprise! It’s our 1st wedding anniversary!…

White And Green Garden Wedding At Hotel Equatorial Bangi

Most couples struggle with the unpredictable weather in Malaysia, but of late, the haze has been an even bigger threat. This happened in the weeks leading up to the wedding, but it ended up being a better story, which we’ll leave to the groom to share. Thanks, Anna-Rina, for sharing this lovely set with us. Wai Kit: “The hardest thing to forget about our wedding was the unusual (ideal) weather! Just weeks prior to the big day, our city was clouded in haze – it was even hazardous at certain towns/districts. Coupled with pouring rain days before the wedding, it seemed that it would certainly rain during our garden ceremony…

    Impressive iPhone Bridal Portrait Session

You could probably track Anna-Rina down just through her many Instagram photos, and we wouldn’t be surprised to find out she’s mastered taking photos with her iPhone. One beautiful day, after a photo session with this couple, she decided to do some additional shots with just her phone. The photos turned out amazing! Come to think about it, these photos make pretty good ‘Save The Date’ notices too. Anna-Rina: “I wanted to challenge myself to go back to the basics, to why I love shooting couples, and that is to show the camaraderie and love between them. This experiment basically reinforced the fact that at the end of the day,…

    Sun, Sea, Sand And Starfishes

A beautiful sunset beach wedding at Avillion, Port Dickson. It’s quite trendy nowadays for couples to use seashells for their beach weddings, but we love the added touch of green apples and white gerbera daisies. It made the whole set so much more interesting and lovely, and set just the right atmosphere for an intimate celebration with family and friends. Damon: “The most beautiful moment for me was seeing my bride for the first time in her stunning white gown, walking down the aisle with her father. She simply took my breath away! It was also having our family and closest friends being such an integral part of the wedding…

    Colour Palette

Cyan, magenta, yellow… As graphic designers, we often work with the colour coding CMYK, but we’ve never thought of using it as a colour theme. One shouldn’t have to try too hard when it comes to wedding ideas, as often they come from objects we see in our everyday life. Blessed indeed is this couple who had a group of good friends from church that made their DIY-wedding possible. Of course, we should also mention that Aaron is a graphic designer himself, while Chrystin is a multimedia executive. They handmade most of their stuff or added little details to things they’d bought for a personal touch. CHRYSTIN & AARON {Malaysia}…

    An Intimate Affair

Many talk about having an intimate wedding, but few get to experience a celebration like Irina and Erzhan’s. The newlyweds, who are from Kazakhstan, had only both sets of parents there to witness their special day – which, ultimately, is truly what matters. Photographer Anna-Rina remembers the moment she first received an email from Irina. “Is this some kind of joke?” she thought. It’s not every day that a Malaysian photographer based in Kuala Lumpur gets the opportunity to photograph a wedding celebration with just four guests. “I don’t understand Kazakh,” she said. “But I could feel the romance in the air. Seriously!” A year before their big day, Erzhan…
