A Chic Yet Moody Intimate Wedding At Wildflowers KL, Chinatown

What a beautiful and understatedly chic wedding! From the bride’s low ponytail and trendy off-shoulder bridal gown to the venue’s all-black interior, these newlyweds definitely knew what they were doing. They even got their guests to all dress in white for the occasion! It’s de rigour now to have family-only weddings with less than 50 people, but that doesn’t mean you have to forgo a glamorous setup. It is still your special day, after all! Many thanks to Pathway Events & Design and Louis Gan Photography for this beautiful set of photos.

A Dreamy and Rustic Outdoor Wedding at Mandapa, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Bali

Most brides would fret about rain on their (outdoor) wedding day, but this bride simply embraced it all! Keeping things clean and minimalist, the bridal couple used tons of dried flowers, which complemented all the other traditional décor elements, including those from their Javanese heritage. What a classic and romantic wedding! We also loved how the bride snuck in a message on her veil: “Love Above All Else”. It’s subtle yet arresting, while her asymmetrical neckline ensured a classic style with her own spin on it. Many thanks to Iluminen for this dreamy set of photos!

Quirky and Unconventional Bridal Portraits Taken on Bintan Island, Indonesia

These are some pretty big, albeit unorthodox, bridal portraits, we have to say! And frankly we did not expect any less from two visual communication designers who are crazy in love and about to tie the knot. From perspective distortions to quirky art frames, these lovebirds wanted to defy the norms of bridal portraits, and that they did. It wasn’t all peculiar oddities (even though each photo looked like an art piece), the couple also took some conventional shots as backup, which were sweet and romantic – we love the ones of them by the beach and in the water, too! Many thanks to Govinda Rumi of Terralogical for this…

Art Deco, Coco Chanel-Inspired Elegance At InterContinental Kuala Lumpur

The great Coco Chanel once said, “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance,” and indeed, less is definitely more when it comes to the Chanel brand’s signature neutral tones. In this Coco Chanel-inspired setup, black, white, taupe, beige and gold were the perfect accompaniments to the decorative elements of clear bottles, pearls and gilded textures. Acrylic gilded paint applied to the inside of oyster shells made for beautiful place card holders, and an interesting art deco twist completed the minimalist, timeless yet modern look. The final touch to ensuring that everything looked absolutely perfect was the right venue – InterContinental Kuala Lumpur’s ballroom and lobby looked amazing dressed in…

A Romantic Colonial-Inspired Wedding At The Majestic Hotel

This had all the makings of a classically beautiful wedding, from the venue to the breathtakingly glamorous floral elements and décor. The abundance of white flowers, set against the white walls and colonial architecture, together with the dripping beads, crystals, candles in gilded candleholders and tea lights, all came together so perfectly. Many thanks to Louis Loo Photography for capturing these stunning wedding shots!

Elegant Black and White With A Hint Of Champagne

Keeping things modern yet classic, this couple went with the timelessly elegant colours of black, white and champagne. With the background colour palette in place, fresh white flowers and leafy greens, crisp white tablecloths and décor punctuated with dreamy fairy lights created the perfect setup for celebrating their new union with family and friends. We especially love the exposed beams of the church, which added a touch of grandeur. Many thanks to Toto Villaruel for capturing such beautiful moments and snapshots!

A Classic All-White Roses Wedding in Perth

A white rose is the perfect symbol of marriage and new beginnings. This wedding was a refreshing mix of old and new, with traditional elements like an all-white colour palette, but also resplendent extravagance in the form of chandeliers and clear crystal glasses. What really stole the show though was the abundance of white roses that adorned every single part of the wedding décor, and how this couple infused their story so completely into their wedding. Thanks to Munkeat Photography for capturing this stunning set of photos! Kim: “The most memorable moment was seeing each other for the first time at the altar, and having my husband’s two brothers as…

Dramatic Black And White With A Hint Of Gold At DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur

The breathtaking grandeur of white florals paired with tall gold candelabras and elaborate tablescapes truly set an elegant and dramatic aesthetic to this wedding reception. Set up against the dark curtain backdrops and opulent chandeliers, gilded Tiffani chairs and tea lights, this was the perfect combination of romantic colours and textures. How a simple mix of round and long table arrangements can make a ballroom look so much more interesting! Many thanks for this gorgeous set up, Pathway Events & Design, and to Adam Ong Photography for capturing these stunning reception photos.

An Extravagant Wedding At Marini’s On 57

The decorative details at this wedding were simply breathtaking, and we love the colour palette that surely added to its sophistication: white to symbolise faith, black to convey elegance, and grey as a compromise between the two. The bride favoured a cosy garden wedding, and that was made possible with a leafy green wall and astro turf right on the 57th floor, with a view of the Petronas Twin Towers! After the bridal couple exchanged their vows, their reception was where the magic happened: from the white roses to the lavish gilded candleholders, from the black tablecloths to the sumptuous silver sequined cake. The draped curtains added dramatic flair to…

Blush Pink Chic Wedding at City Harvest Kuala Lumpur

Unfortunately, Malaysia’s (often uncomfortable) tropical weather just doesn’t lend itself well to outdoor celebrations. But with its expansive windows and high ceilings that added to the glamour and beauty of this ceremony, City Harvest KL is arguably the next best thing to an outdoor wedding. From the bridesmaids’ mismatched gold and glittery dresses and groomsmen’s dapper grey suits to the soft pink, white and green bridal bouquet, everything came together for this wedding, complementing each other perfectly. Just like the bride and groom. Thanks to Alextan Artworks for capturing this stylish and glamorous affair set up by Mint Events & Soirées.
