A Beautiful DIY Church Wedding in Kuala Lumpur

Tying the knot in their church gave these newlyweds more than just sentimental value; it was also the perfect venue for their minimalist DIY wedding. The exposed brick wall was the perfect backdrop, and all they needed to add were flowers and plenty of joy and love. The bride even opted to make all that greenery the main element of the décor. We love how everything looked so effortlessly pulled together. Many thanks to Jessielyee. Photography for this beautiful set of photos!

A Fusion of Rustic and Ethereal Styles in City Harvest Church

With hints of rustic goodness to match the groom’s personality and ethereal elegance to suit the bride, we love how both themes came together beautifully to create the “Midnight over Atlantis” concept for this wedding. Held at City Harvest Church, the wedding’s main inspiration came from the couple’s favourite Disney cartoon, ‘The Little Mermaid’, and featured a contrasting blend of delicate white flowers, rustic greens and elegant deep blue tones. Many thanks to Arch & Vow for these brilliant captures!

A Blush Pink Wedding Ceremony In City Harvest Kuala Lumpur

We love how this bride used small DIY touches in her décor to bring together her rustic floral wedding. From the high ceilings to the exposed brick walls, everything was enhanced by simple floral elements, particularly the floral wedding arch and white flowers. Many thanks to Chong Yee Photography for these lovely photos!

Blush Pink Chic Wedding at City Harvest Kuala Lumpur

Unfortunately, Malaysia’s (often uncomfortable) tropical weather just doesn’t lend itself well to outdoor celebrations. But with its expansive windows and high ceilings that added to the glamour and beauty of this ceremony, City Harvest KL is arguably the next best thing to an outdoor wedding. From the bridesmaids’ mismatched gold and glittery dresses and groomsmen’s dapper grey suits to the soft pink, white and green bridal bouquet, everything came together for this wedding, complementing each other perfectly. Just like the bride and groom. Thanks to Alextan Artworks for capturing this stylish and glamorous affair set up by Mint Events & Soirées.

A Glitzy Gold Wedding At City Harvest Kuala Lumpur

High ceilings and exposed brick walls were the perfect contrasting background to the beautiful metal accents and glamorous glitter and gold. This wedding was the perfect combination of rustic and glamorous, with a long table setting replete with industrial cans of wildflowers and glass bottles. We especially loved the mismatched bridesmaids outfits, all of which were glittery and metallic but in a variety of dress lengths and colours. Many thanks to Bliss & Glitz and Catking Photography for capturing these details.

Pink And Brown Baskin-Robbins Themed Wedding

No one ever complains about an ice cream party, but this is so much more than just another good idea. There’s a story behind it, one that we’ll let the bride Charmaine share with you. We adore her Celest Thoi dress and those adorable flowergirl outfits. The simple white flowers against the rustic brown and blush pink shades look gorgeous too! Thanks for the photos, Arch & Vow Studio! Charmaine: “As my family is the master franchiser of Baskin Robbins, I literally grew up with the brand, and my husband used to call me ‘Baskin-Robbins’ instead of my name before we began dating. Pink and brown are the theme colours…

    Rustic Themed Wedding In Mint

It’s such a delight to see City Harvest Church being transformed into a different theme each time it is used as a wedding venue. It’s truly a blank canvas that invites creativity, with its great natural light that also offers the comfort of air conditioning. With the help of a decorator, this DIY bride went for a rustic theme, with touches of wood, glass and lace, all held together by her favourite mint colour. There was a simple wishing tree with craft tags for wishes, gorgeous twine-wrapped bottles with bunches of green and white flowers, pretty paper pinwheels and more. What we love most is how, instead of splurging on…

    Rustic Coffee Themed Wedding

It is true that if we wanted to pinpoint our differences they would be endless, but when we celebrate our similarities, we can put away our differences. It should be that way even before you enter into marriage. Thanks, Adam Ong, for the great photos, and congrats, Tie The Knot and Wishing Tree, for this beautiful, rustic, coffee themed setup. We love it. Give us coffee any day instead of wedding favours we won’t use! Julee: “We love intimate weddings. The most memorable part of the wedding was to be able to see our loved ones witnessing our marriage. The ceremony was filled with joy and laughter, from the bridal…

A Yellow And Black Movie Premiere-Themed Wedding

It’s indeed our honour to be able to share Hannah and Bryan’s wedding ceremony photos here. Their church ceremony was a movie premiere-themed event in the church auditorium, with a big LED screen, a stage and tiered seating. We love the creative burst of yellow and black details, which made this wedding truly an extension of this very happy couple. And even though everything looked so fun, the exchanging of vows was actually very emotional. Thanks, Cornelius, for these beautiful photos. 1950s Vintage Coke Theme

If you don’t already know, we don’t plan weddings. We love weddings and all things beautiful. Our desire is to see weddings in this region rise to greater heights. We understand that not everyone has the budget to splurge on their big day, but creativity bursts forth when your resources are limited. That is why many of our favourite weddings this year are DIY. Chaiyen, one of our team, took the opportunity of her sister’s wedding to show us exactly how we can maneuver the budget and personalise a wedding with small details. These lovely photos are taken by WeiMin and Chris Teoh. Photo by Chris Teoh Chaileng: “I do…
