A Subtly Elegant and Modern Intimate Wedding at The RuMa Hotel & Residences

We often make the mistake of thinking that a small wedding has to mean something simple and lacklustre, but these newlyweds and wedding planner, Sherly of Tie The Knot, did exactly the opposite, achieving a wedding celebration that was both intimate and oh-so-glamorous. Amidst the lush backdrop of flowers and greenery was the understated elegance of a gilded geometric arch – we love how it peeks out as part of the backdrop while the couple exchanged their vows! Many thanks to MunKeat Photography for this beautiful set of photos!

A White and Green Rustic Chic Outdoor Wedding by the Ocean at Khayangan Estate Bali

We were absolutely enchanted by the rustic charm and natural surroundings of this gorgeous ocean wedding at Khayangan Estate in Bali, Indonesia. The couple felt that Uluwatu’s amazing views and seclusion from the crowds and busy areas would be perfect for the intimate wedding they desired, and they were right. Thank you for these wonderful images, Iluminen!

A Glamorous Navy Blue Outdoor Wedding Lunch at Puncak Dani, Genting

Garden weddings have gained in popularity among our readers in the past few years, with many bridal couples and their guests finding the fresh air a fitting and welcome environment for the happy occasion. For Megan and Jon, their choice of navy, white and gold flavoured the intimate affair with class, the colours greatly complementing the natural outdoor setting. It always works well when the theme colours are based on classics or neutrals, don’t you think? Thank you, Peter Herman Photography, for this fantastic album!

A Traditional Chinese Wedding At The Blue Mansion (Cheong Fatt Sze) Penang

More often than not, what matters to a couple will naturally be reflected in their wedding. For Kee Hong and Louis, who met in England and celebrated their engagement in romantic Paris, honouring family traditions and their heritage was at the heart of their wedding, which was held at the Blue Mansion in Penang. Fusing auspicious red with blue, beige and cream, the couple created a wedding palette that was loud in its declaration of prosperity and tradition, yet modern and easy on the eyes. Many thanks to Andrew Yep Photographie for this smashing album!

A Dreamy Floral Indoor Garden Wedding At Glasshouse At Seputeh

Resembling a hanging garden or even an enchanted forest, this wedding at the Glasshouse @ Seputeh was the perfect outdoor celebration – indoors. The lush flowers and baby’s breath in sleek clear glassware, as well as the classic colour palette of white, yellow and green added a touch of understated elegance, while fairy lights and the use of rose gold glitter gave the wedding a glamorous yet dreamy feel. We especially love the bride’s unconventional blue wedding dress with floral appliqués, gorgeously complemented by a wedding bouquet of white orchids. The most breathtaking piece of décor was the hanging tree of white baby’s breath, fairy lights and clear bulb vases…

A Glittery Rustic Luxe Wedding At Tanarimba Janda Baik

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that a wedding is essentially a giant party – that is, if you set the right tone. These newlyweds went for contrast: glamorous yet rustic, classic yet modern, lavish yet intimate. It was a two-day celebration for their friends and family, and everyone clearly had an amazing time. The bride looked stunning in her glittery gold gown, which, together with the lush décor, high ceilings and wooden interiors, gave the wedding a rustic luxe feel. Meanwhile, the crystal elements and fairy lights, as well as the hanging vines and ivy, created a cosy, intimate setting. Many thanks to Louis Loo Photography for this wonderfully detailed…

Geometric Shapes Met Vintage Glam For This Wedding At Glasshouse At Seputeh

This wedding was the perfect mix of simple and grand, old and new, vintage and glamour. The couple even had the cutest hashtag to go with it – #soyawedscincau! From the bride’s wedding dress, which looked simple from the front but was dramatic and breathtaking from the back, to the reception, just about everything was truly a sight to behold. The colour theme of maroon certainly set the tone, making the celebration romantic, mysterious and dreamy all at the same time, and we love that ingenious table arrangement idea! Many thanks to Anna-Rina Photography for capturing (and sharing) such a lovely set of photos.

A Lush Tropical Wedding in Tamarind Springs

Rain just might be the perfect accompaniment to your wedding, especially if your celebration is set amidst a verdant jungle on a sultry day. For this bridal couple, rain meant a pair of classic black umbrellas to match the tropical backdrop, rustic wooden textures, lush foliage and sunny smiles all round. Their wardrobe was suitably relaxed: the bride wore a gown with a detachable train while the groom was folksy in a teal vest, beryl pants and rolled-up sleeves. Above them, glass bulbs adorned the timber beams of a pavilion, and in the night, the warm lights burned intensely. Here’s to a wedding that popped with so much colour, and…

Sweet And Whimsical DIY Décor Bridal Portraits

Bridal portraits often double as an announcement to let your friends and family know that you’re going to soon tie the knot, as well as an introduction to who you are as a couple. We love how Grace and Kenny had their bridal portraits done at home – no rules and at no cost! With the added chance to repurpose their décor items at their wedding, they went sweet with desserts and paper flowers, and whimsy and random with their fencing gear, all tied together with fresh flowers, wooden decorative elements, and so much joy and laughter. Thanks to hellojanelee for these incredibly sweet bridal portraits.

    An Earthy Bohemian Wedding

Opting for plants and leaves in lieu of flowers for décor made for a lush and down-to-Earth yet elegant wedding. We love it when a couple weaves their own style into their wedding. This one had different hues of green – from the bride’s beautiful lace cheongsam and her bridesmaids’ light sea green dresses to the overhanging leafy décor, mossy plants and tea lights, this wedding was truly resplendent. Many thanks to MunKeat Photography for the photos!
