A Minimalist Chic Wedding With Pops Of Yellow At Eighty Seven Tanarimba

Making full use of the venue with its amazing views, this couple tied the knot surrounded by friends, family and Mother Nature. We love the cool steel exterior set amidst the warmth of its surroundings, the use of fairy lights, the pops of colour from the wedding bouquet, and the ingenious idea of using bricks as flower stands. Congrats on yet another interesting setup, ZáHuoHang, and many thanks to Zach Chin of MunKeat Studio for this beautiful set of photos!

Quirky and Unconventional Bridal Portraits Taken on Bintan Island, Indonesia

These are some pretty big, albeit unorthodox, bridal portraits, we have to say! And frankly we did not expect any less from two visual communication designers who are crazy in love and about to tie the knot. From perspective distortions to quirky art frames, these lovebirds wanted to defy the norms of bridal portraits, and that they did. It wasn’t all peculiar oddities (even though each photo looked like an art piece), the couple also took some conventional shots as backup, which were sweet and romantic – we love the ones of them by the beach and in the water, too! Many thanks to Govinda Rumi of Terralogical for this…

    A Classic Hollywood Romance

Much like the happily-ever-afters of Hollywood films, this set of bridal portraits perfectly encapsulates the newlyweds’ mutual love for films and all things timeless. After all, a classic is a beauty that withstands the weather of time. With a dramatic red lip for the bride and dapper tailored suits for the groom, they were indeed a sight to behold, with no detail spared in their perfect homage to the golden age of Hollywood. Set in New Zealand with all its untouched beauty, we love the fashion choices (pearls and lace), floral prints and headgear. Many thanks to Euhau Leong of LOORK for capturing these amazing bridal portraits, and to Rong…

    Whimsical Love, Quirky Romance

Partners in life and work, this bride and groom infuse their own whimsical brand of creativity into every aspect of their lives. As co-founders of a creative agency, they are perfectly compatible in their strengths and personalities, and are truly two halves of a perfect whole. As animal lovers with two dogs and two cats, even their bridal portraits had animal elements in it, from their geometric animal masks to their three-year-old Dachshund, Duncan, who made a cameo appearance! Many thanks to Thomas Ang of The Peeping Thom for capturing this quirky, Wes Anderson-inspired set of bridal portraits.

A DIY Vintage Garden Wedding At Cameron Highlands

While most people wouldn’t think to have their destination wedding at Cameron Highlands, most of us agree that having an outdoor garden wedding in KL could potentially be quite uncomfortable for everyone! Combining Mother Nature with the talent and artistry of their friends, this couple DIY-ed a beautiful, intimate and cosy space in which to say “I do”. Thanks to Peter Herman Photography for capturing these special moments.

Blush Pink Chic Wedding at City Harvest Kuala Lumpur

Unfortunately, Malaysia’s (often uncomfortable) tropical weather just doesn’t lend itself well to outdoor celebrations. But with its expansive windows and high ceilings that added to the glamour and beauty of this ceremony, City Harvest KL is arguably the next best thing to an outdoor wedding. From the bridesmaids’ mismatched gold and glittery dresses and groomsmen’s dapper grey suits to the soft pink, white and green bridal bouquet, everything came together for this wedding, complementing each other perfectly. Just like the bride and groom. Thanks to Alextan Artworks for capturing this stylish and glamorous affair set up by Mint Events & Soirées.

A Glitzy Gold Wedding At City Harvest Kuala Lumpur

High ceilings and exposed brick walls were the perfect contrasting background to the beautiful metal accents and glamorous glitter and gold. This wedding was the perfect combination of rustic and glamorous, with a long table setting replete with industrial cans of wildflowers and glass bottles. We especially loved the mismatched bridesmaids outfits, all of which were glittery and metallic but in a variety of dress lengths and colours. Many thanks to Bliss & Glitz and Catking Photography for capturing these details.

The Quirky Wedding Of An Owl And A Deer

There is so much to love about this wedding. Besides the fact that the couple looks gorgeous, they are also extremely talented. Their wedding totally charmed us with all its fun colours and lovely details. We will let the photos speak for themselves. Thanks, Axioo, for sharing this wonderful story with us. Tips from the bride: “I’m pretty sure you can find wedding inspiration everywhere. The most important thing is to find not just good vendors, but the right vendors that will complement your style.”

An Illustrated Storyboard Wedding Website That’s Just Epic!

Design students are probably going to feel a little nostalgic when they see this one: a short Save The Date video inspired by 80s movies and a wedding website with storyboard inspired illustrations. The idea is refreshing to say the least, and we trust that their friends were all excited to attend the wedding. (Tip: A great Save The Date idea will generate attention and excitement for your big day.) Jiawern: “Since we’re only going to get married once, we decided, why the heck not? Heavily influenced by the 80s movies that we grew up with, with a healthy injection of the retrowave scene, this video was born out of…

    Creative Intro Video

Bored of seeing everything in 2D? What if you had the ability to transform whatever was on your computer screen into live action? If you are familiar with Adobe Illustrator, this will be a lot of fun for you. One of the things we enjoy the most about Mr & Mrs Photography’s work is the intro video they include with their bridal portraits, and this stop motion opening video is brilliant. We could totally imagine the wedding guests cheering with excitement as they watched it. Chen of Mr & Mrs Photography: “Swee Mei and Gary are both art directors in an advertising agency. It took us quite a while to…

    Love Is…

Here we go again, talking about how typography can really change your whole wedding day style. Both Tiffany and Mark are designers, and Mark is actually a typographer too. We’ve lost count of how many designers’ weddings we have featured. Their refusal to conform to the norm always catches our eye when we see one of their weddings. There’s always a strong message and concept that carries through, and it’s such a joy to see them share their creativity with their loved ones. This couple wed on 09.10.11 in Palm Springs, thus the iconic logotype “Nine.Ten.Eleven.” They rented the entire Movie Colony Hotel in Palm Springs, and used it as…

    In A Different Realm

Garovs majored in Fashion Design & Merchandising in university, while Ryan in Multimedia Arts. The both of them own Everywhere We Shoot, whose work has been in most major magazines in the country and even abroad. Having seen their bridal portraits and infographics invitations, you must be wondering, how creative can they get in a traditional church wedding? Well, how could it not be creative when some of Manila’s most talented creative people were involved? The thing we love most about this wedding isn’t that it’s so out of the norm, but that this couple knew who they were and kept to it. If you strip everything away and look…
