Sweet and Dreamy Bridal Portraits in Bandung, Indonesia

From casual to artsy, these bridal portraits certainly captured a spectrum of looks. With its foggy meadows and the delightful addition of grazing deer, Bandung proved to be a most beautiful backdrop, but the team also opted for portraits in an urban setting, goofing off as they played with light and shadow effects. Many thanks to Zakhri Harahap of Sheerss Photography for this set of photos! A Modern Blue-Grey Cliffside Wedding in Bali

Florals and bright colours might seem like a no-brainer for a Bali wedding, but these newlyweds had other plans. Opting for slate blue and grey tones combined with lush neutral floral elements, stalks of wheat and lots of greenery, they kept things classic and romantic – with a modern touch. We especially love that seashell-shaped altar, which was used for their reception backdrop as well! Many thanks to Fire, Wood & Earth for these absolutely beautiful photos.

Adventurous, Nature-Filled Seaside Bridal Portraits at Nusa Penida

What is it about the beach and being by the ocean? Pandemic or no pandemic, Bali has always been a popular spot for tying the knot and celebrating romance. On Nusa Penida, a small island off Bali, these newlyweds splashed in the ocean and played to their hearts’ content – with Andre Lesmana of Fire, Wood & Earth photographing away. There were sunrise shots, sunset shots, and that glamorous palm tree-lined driveway. Thank you for this set of bridal portraits! Andre: “Rinie and Christian are a super adventurous couple. They love to travel and explore amazing natural landscapes. That’s the reason they chose Nusa Penida, a small island southeast of…

Spirited and Heartwarming Bridal Portraits in Charming Yogyakarta, Indonesia

We adore the way this precious album of bridal portraits captures the beautiful couple’s love and the majestic charm of Yogyakarta in Indonesia. Often called Jogja, the city is known for its traditional arts and cultural heritage. Besides making it onto UNESCO’s tentative list of World Heritage Sites, it is also, in this particular instance, the hometown of the groom’s family, which just makes these photos all the more special. Thank you for these brilliant shots, Terralogical!

A Happy and Simple Life in Bali

Sometimes all it takes for even the most simplistic bridal portraits to shine with life is a willingness to have a good time. “Mundane” locations such as the Denpasar Fruit Market, Seseh Paddy Field and Black Sand Beach become remarkable – if the couple and their photographer allow. Thank you for these superb shots, Terralogical! The concept was to capture Alicia and Ryan being their normal selves and enjoying their time in Bali, including at the rice paddies and Black Sand Beach. She also wanted to be photographed at the market, hence the fun shots with the fruit sellers. Many were excited and eager to participate in the couple’s shoot,…

A Timeless White on White Ballroom Wedding in Jakarta

It is quite magical seeing families come together, and in this lovely couple’s case, it was incredibly special as they completed their church ceremony, as well as their Javanese and Chinese rituals, within the same day. The best part of once-in-a-lifetime moments like these is having them immortalised as memories and captures that last forever. Thank you for these amazing shots, Iluminen!

Sunset and Mirrors at Nyanyi Beach Bali

You can tell from the couple’s body language that they had an absolutely amazing time shooting these bridal portraits. They are real and passionate, and we know that they – and their guests – will be looking through this album over and over again in the years to come. Thank you for these awesome shots, Fire, Wood & Earth! Choosing to take their portraits at the famous black sand Nyanyi Beach was an easy choice, as they both enjoy the ocean immensely. It reminds them of God’s faithfulness, they say. They opted for a casual look in soft neutrals, their photographer did well to get those mirrors for the shoot.…

An All-White Dreamy Cliff-Top Garden Wedding at Khayangan Estate, Uluwatu

The dreamiest of all dreamy weddings, this all-white classic is a jaw-dropper indeed, with its textures and interesting touches taking the cake. From the bride’s dress and the décor to the elements of blush pink and grey at the reception, it was all too beautiful for words. Swaths of tulle and an abundance of white flowers and stalks of wheat surrounded the newlyweds and their bridal party for the exchange of vows, which they did against a backdrop of crashing waves and serene cliffs. We’re so in love with this wedding – many thanks to Iluminen for this dazzling set of photos!

A Dreamy and Rustic Outdoor Wedding at Mandapa, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Bali

Most brides would fret about rain on their (outdoor) wedding day, but this bride simply embraced it all! Keeping things clean and minimalist, the bridal couple used tons of dried flowers, which complemented all the other traditional décor elements, including those from their Javanese heritage. What a classic and romantic wedding! We also loved how the bride snuck in a message on her veil: “Love Above All Else”. It’s subtle yet arresting, while her asymmetrical neckline ensured a classic style with her own spin on it. Many thanks to Iluminen for this dreamy set of photos!
