A Contemporary Marbled Theme at Four Points by Sheraton Puchong

As compatible as the union between the bride and groom is the juxtaposition of marble and wood, or the contrasting shades of blush pink and grey. Keeping things classic yet contemporary and minimalist, this theme made clever use of the marbled textures and wooden elements to embellish the classic wedding white, with a subtle finishing touch of gold added. Huge thanks to Joshua of Inlight Photos for capturing this gorgeous styled set by The Wedding Notebook at Four Points by Sheraton Puchong.

Beauty In Simplicity At Genji Japanese Restaurant, Hilton Petaling Jaya

When it comes to effortless aesthetics and clean and minimalist lines, the Zakka style never disappoints. MUJI-inspired and reminiscent of Scandinavian elements, the magic of this style comes in subtle yet natural forms mostly derived from fabrics that create different textures, prints and hues.  For our last event at Genji Japanese Restaurant in Hilton Petaling Jaya, we wanted to inject Japanese design and elements into the décor. Simplicity is a complex art – minimal yet requiring much thought. Many thanks to Joshua of Inlight Photos for capturing the event that The Wedding Notebook creative team had much fun putting together.

A Dusty Blue And Cream Modern Wedding At Marble 8

Sometimes the best wedding ideas appear when you’re not looking, and that’s what happened with this bride, as she fell in love with what she thought was an unconventional wedding colour. The result was a sleek and elegant modern wedding: from the floral adornments of the lush hedge wall framing the couple’s exchange of vows, to the gold glitter tablecloth that added a touch of glamour. Thanks to Joshua of Inlight Photos for capturing this stunning set of photos!

    Blue Shabby Chic Backyard Wedding

It can’t get any more intimate and cosy than tying the knot right in your own backyard – which is what Tze Yip and Kai Hsin of Craft Kitchen did. Despite keeping things simple and DIY, this wedding looked classic and well put together, from the altar decorated with leafy greens and flowers to the blue and white streamers and tea lights, adding that little touch of magic. Thanks to Inlight Photos for this wonderful set of snapshots.

    2015 Dessert Table Trends

Dessert tables are here to stay, but besides the usual tiered cakes and macarons, you will definitely see a wider variety of treats. Chef Loh Mee Fong, Pastry Chef of Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, shares with us more on what to expect. We also noticed that we couldn’t find many inspiration boards on Marsala, the Pantone Colour Of The Year, so we, together with Chef Mee Fong, decided to explore the theme. Hope you like it! Wooden ware and glassware are in when it comes to dessert bars, as people are looking at more rustic and natural looks. For that same reason, do expect naked cakes or cakes with fewer…

A Rocking Garden Wedding At Campus Lakeside

Faith and Max held their wedding at Taylor’s University Lakeside, and from the moment guests received their invitations, it was like they had just gotten passes to the most happening event of the year. We wish we were there because it looked like such an uber cool wedding. Max: “The theme of our wedding was ‘We Love Because God First Loved Us’ (1 John 4:19). I believe our wedding theme and concept came from none other than God. [Faith and I] have so many differences, yet we are able to choose to love because we know God has planned this relationship for us since the beginning. Basically we realised that…

    Girl Meets Bike

When we saw these bridal portraits with a Royal Enfield vintage motorcycle that was licensed by the Crown in 1890, we just knew we had to cover the story. This set is for your man. Joshua of Inlight Photos: “Edwin is a motorbike lover, while Cynthia is from the creative industry. We basically used these two elements to design the photography concept and style for their engagement and bridal portrait shoots. This is what we’ve always enjoyed doing – styling the theme and capturing the moments based on a couple’s love story, background and personality.” CYNTHIA & EDWIN {Malaysia} Photography by Joshua of Inlight Photos / Styling, Creative Direction and…
