A Quirky ‘Moonrise Kingdom’-Inspired Night Safari Wedding in Singapore

Now here’s a wedding for these Covid times – one that is outdoors and with facemasks! Turning the pandemic facemask on its head while also paying homage to Wes Anderson’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ and ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’, this couple incorporated “foxy” masks into their wedding, to brilliant effect. We love the rustic feel and nature vibes of the venue, not to mention the quirky aesthetics and fun additions in the form of exotic animals that made an appearance during the Night Safari! What a wonderful way to celebrate your wedding with family and friends. Many thanks to Leslie Photography for this beautiful set of photographs. Paige: “It rained throughout the morning…

A Stylish DIY Floral Wedding at Raffles Hotel, Singapore

What’s a wedding without flowers? We never want to find out, and especially not when the bride is a wedding florist herself! Linnette from Floral Magic knew right off the bat that she wanted lots of flowers, but what truly made her day special was getting to say “I do” to the love of her life, and seeing her family and friends come together for the celebration. Many thanks to Bloc Memoire Photography for these photos. Linnette: “There were so many memorable moments! Both of us catching each other’s eyes at the end of the aisle, my niece hijacking my sister’s speech with a song because she wanted to perform,…

Artistic and Dreamy Bridal Portraits with LED Lights

Not only has the pandemic affected wedding celebrations and receptions, but couples also found themselves limited to local spots when it came to shooting bridal portraits. It didn’t help that Singapore is a rather small country, but fortunately, it has a vibrant artistic community and photographers who found ways to make photoshoots interesting. Often, this meant trying new things and going outside of their comfort zone. Here, Pixioo Photography experimented with LED lights for these night portraits, and we are in love with the results. Many thanks to Twins Photography for capturing all the happiness of this beautiful occasion and these gorgeous bridal portraits. The Wedding Notebook Magazine April 2021 – Issue 34

Fuss-free and light-hearted weddings take centre stage this issue, as we share stories of couples who kept things intimate with a small reception – or ditched their reception in favour of a photography session. When it comes to wedding venues, your imagination is your limit, from the traditional cathedral or ballroom to a boutique hotel or even the Tipi Tent at Night Safari in Singapore. In all our stories, each couple found beautiful ways to make the venue their own with simple additions. As for bridal portraits, the pandemic’s travel restrictions have meant that couples are limited to destinations within their own countries, but do not despair. See how photographers…

It was so important for me to have them attend my bridal shower, and although a few women were missing from the day, having most of them attend and celebrate this…
