    Rustic Peach

    Eliska was a wedding coordinator in the Philippines before moving to Australia, so you know she won’t expect anything less than perfection for her own wedding day. She and Aaron wanted to get married in Sydney to mark the start of their new life there. A lot of love and detail were poured into their wedding, and we love how their family and friends came from afar to join them for the celebrations. Eliska: “I’ve always loved peach and vintage so we just played with both. We ended up with peach, blush and grey as our colours. And then it all became like, rustic chic, which was perfect for the…

    Green Vintage

    This wedding truly is a celebration of friends and loved ones. From the wedding planning by good friend Theodora Soh to the invitations and stationery, from the flowers and décor to the cakes and desserts, everything was put together by friends of the bridal couple. How very blessed they are to have been showered with so much help from family and friends. Besides the beautiful details, we also love the people and the emotions that were captured. You can almost hear the music, the tears and the laughter. And looking at all the photos and watching the video, you realise that is exactly what it was like. Charlene: “Standing outside…

    This set of photos seems to have been very carefully planned and put together. Jean’s lovely lace dress looks simple and sweet, just right for props like these. The Coke bottles and red apples have nothing to do with each other but somehow, the red branding of Coke brings everything together. Enjoy! Breakfast At The Park

    The thing about weddings, as much as most people want to be different, they often find themselves falling into the trap of mediocrity. This site is not about imitation, or worse, intimidation and making you think there’s a benchmark for what your wedding should be like. Rather, it’s about inspiring you to be who you are and celebrating that, as well as reminding you of the things you love and that purity of love you had as a child. Euodia and Nic are a couple that embodies that. According to Chinese tradition, it should have been a gatecrashing ceremony. We have nothing against that – it can be fun and…

    1940s-Inspired Wedding Theme

    This 1940s-inspired conceptual shoot is such a feast for the eyes. We love every detail, including the Coke bottles, bowling pins, flowers, and how the pretty calligraphy tags adorned the whole place. One can sit here for hours and not want the day to end. This is a brilliant idea for an engagement party or bridal shower, photographed by Krista Mason Photography. Thanks, Lina from A Stunning Affair, for sharing this with us. Lina: “For Coca Cola lovers, we decided to create a beverage station featuring Coke, Diet Coke and Cherry Coke, and pair them with cherries, lemons and lime to go with the picnic menu. We also thought it…

    The Unconventional

    Thanks to their unique ROM celebration and creative chalkboard bridal portraits, we were so excited to see what Regine and Joey would do on their wedding day. Once again, we were blown away. Check out how the bride creatively reused items from her garden ceremony for her reception later in the evening. Regine: “Being unconventional adults, we wanted a wedding that somewhat reflects us. But just like any other bride, I didn’t know where to begin. Excited as I was, I just had too many ideas and things I wanted to do for our wedding. That’s when I fell in love with Pinterest. I started pinning all sorts of interesting…

    Garden Engagement Décor

    Who says that every table has to look identical? For this couple engagement party, Storybook used different flower arrangements for each of the guests’ tables, featuring bottles of different sizes and 10 types of green and white flowers. The photo frame trays are totally gorgeous, and add to the cosy and pretty garden feel. The candy buffet also injected a dash of blush pink and tiffany blue with chocolates and candy canes wrapped in those colours. Event Styling by Storybook {Read more about this in the magazine}

    The Paper Gown

    The very first paper dress was created by the Scott Paper Company in 1966 as a promotional tool. Since then, many have attempted the paper gown, including fashion designers Isaac Mizrahi, Hallie Erdahl and Gary Harvey, who all made stunning versions of it. This isn’t Avex’s first paper bridal gown attempt; he did a similar project in 2010. Besides it being environmentally friendly, he loves the newspaper gown because it can be easily styled. When seen from afar, it exudes a nostalgic feel. We wouldn’t suggest you try wearing this for your actual wedding day. But this is surely something you can explore for your bridal portrait session. To us,…

    The Post-Wedding Video: Dear Future

    There are a lot of great wedding videos out there, and unless you’re from a creative background, it can be quite hard to outdo them. But this simple and beautiful video approached things from another angle, which totally surprised us, and we loved it! The idea? A “time capsule” post-wedding video for Jo Lin and Bernard to remind them of the vows they made to each other. If we could, we would make it a law for every married couple to have a “time capsule” video that they can watch on their anniversary every year. Mostly because as humans, we tend to be very forgetful creatures. JO LIN & BERNARD…

    Behind The Scenes Of A Shoot Gone Wild

    Have you ever seen a video of bridal portraits that has everyone at the wedding reception bursting into applause even before it has finished playing? This one did. But then you wouldn’t expect anything less when you put this quirky couple who are both from creative backgrounds, Regine and Joey, and photographer Julian together. The result is a set of photos that are really impressive, but what made this even more awesome is how brilliantly this video was put together.
