A Dreamy Bohemian Garden Wedding at Alila Villas Uluwatu

So much of this wedding was infused with the newlyweds’ own style and quirky personality. Against a colour palette of whites and nudes, other elements such as the golden plates, decorative branches and geometric vases added a dramatic flair. We love the bride’s beautiful lace bridal grown, paired with a bold vampy lip, and the groom’s unusual beige double-breasted suit! Complementing the couple were the bridal party’s coordinating outfits – blouse and skirt combos for the pretty bridesmaids and dark suits for the dapper groomsmen. Alila Villas Uluwatu in Bali is known for its serene location overlooking the ocean, and indeed it is a picture perfect place to tie the…

A Romantic Gold and Blue Beach Wedding Styled Shoot at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi

Blue is one of the warmest colours, whether found in Mother Nature’s various hues or in the Four Seasons Resort Langkawi’s brand new décor, which channels Moroccan vibes with vibrant cobalt tones. Featuring spectacular views of the azure sky meeting the emerald waters of the Andaman Sea at the horizon, and flanked by tropical rainforests and limestone cliffs, the resort is as dramatic as it is serene and romantic. These beautiful shots were captured by Peter Herman Photography, and many thanks to Darling Florist Langkawi for taking our moodboard and helping to bring the entire look to life.

The Wedding Notebook Magazine July 2018 – Issue 23

From a fairytale wedding in an 18th century French château to a Tuscan vineyard and even a cave in Bali, this issue is all about exploring destination weddings. One of the best things about destination weddings is that often, the picturesque landscapes and stunning spaces are enough on their own. This takes away the chore of decorating so that couples can focus on what really matters – their guests, and one another. Speaking of picturesque landscapes, one very courageous couple and their photographer took destination bridal portraits to a whole new level – literally! Opting for the road less travelled, they headed up to the dizzying heights of Peru’s Rainbow…

Engagement Shoot at the World’s Largest Salt Flat in Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia

There are two crucial life lessons to glean from this arresting engagement album: perseverance and making time count. Just as these values will apply to their union as man and wife, this couple experience it first-hand in a challenging but rewarding 2-part engagement portrait series shot amidst extraordinary landscapes in Peru and Bolivia.   They engaged Manila-based Oly Ruiz of Metrophoto, whose vast experience with destination photography would be imperative to the success of the task. Together, they planned for a 3-day shoot in spectacular locations like Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat (a lake gone dry), and Laguna Hedionda, a saline lake in the Andean Altiplano that…
