An Unconventional Rustic and Black Wedding at Sekeping Jugra

When life as we knew it stopped for so many of us in lockdown, those who had planned to get married during this time were met with uncertainty – to postpone or cancel all together? And if they postponed their wedding, until when? For this couple, as soon as the Malaysian government gave the green light, everything was quickly put in motion for a cosy, intimate wedding. No matter that it wasn’t the big soiree that they had originally intended, the most important people were there and that was all that mattered. Many thanks to Trees On The Moon for capturing this beautiful wedding.

A Spontaneous Post-Quarantine Family Lunch At JOLOKO, Kuala Lumpur

This couple’s love story has understated romance and spontaneity sprinkled throughout, right from the time they first met to how they decided to tie the knot! Because of Covid-19 and their being based in Singapore during the Circuit Breaker, they weathered 14 days of quarantine so they could come back to Malaysia just for their ROM! There was no theme, just a celebration of love and their two families coming together. With a cosy gathering of just 20 people, they toasted to their union as they embarked on the next chapter. This lovely set of photos was beautifully captured by Jasmine A. Photography. The Wedding: “We had zero concept. All…

Celebrating Their Original Wedding Date With a Simple Rustic Chic Vow Exchange At KLoé Hotel

By now, you would have heard of many cancelled weddings and postponed receptions. While disappointing, these newlyweds still wanted to honour the day they were originally going to become husband and wife. Their intended wedding date fell during Malaysia’s Movement Control Order, which meant large gatherings were not allowed but photoshoots with strict social distancing in place were good to go. These pre-wedding shots were taken at the newly opened rustic chic boutique hotel, KLoé Hotel in downtown KL, and the couple also used the opportunity to exchange their personal vows. Love prevails! The beautiful space and lush wildflowers, together with the bride’s chic bridal jumpsuit, made for a beautifully…

A Cosy, Classic Wedding With Pops Of Colour in the Philippines During Covid-19

Keeping their wedding cosy and in the family (with the right amount of social distancing, of course), these newlyweds tied the knot right by the bride’s parents’ home, at the Merlin Pavilion in the Compostela municipality of Cebu, an island in central Philippines. The groom was decked out in a dapper black tux while his resplendent bride stunned in a beautiful off-shoulder, knee-length dress. It was an intimate affair indeed as they exchanged vows in the company of just 10 guests, wearing his and hers facemasks! Many thanks to Helium Hearts for this sweet set of bridal photos.

Beautiful Morocco Captured on This Bridal Portraits Road Trip

This album gives us a glimpse of Morocco’s diverse and beautiful scenery. Rich in culture and colours, it’s the ideal destination for bridal portraits. For this trip, the couple and their photographer took a ferry from Tarifa, Spain. There, they hired a driver and headed south to the Blue Town, Chefchaoen, for the first part of our shoot. Then they did a stopover in the ancient city of Fes before heading to Merzouga in the Sahara Desert. They stayed at a tent camp overnight and did a sunrise camel ride the next day. After that, they headed to the busy city of Marrakech, stopping along the way to take photos…

The Wedding Notebook Magazine July 2020 – Issue 31

This issue is dedicated to the courageous couples out there who have refused to let this Covid-19 pandemic stop them from declaring their love for each other. Some have live-streamed their wedding ceremonies on social media, while others have simply scaled down their celebrations to include only their closest of loved ones. One couple decided to commemorate the day they had originally intended to get married on with a photoshoot, while another crossed borders and endured 14 days of quarantine so that they could be reunited with their families for their big day. It warmed our hearts to read these stories. The way we see it, weddings have evolved for…
