Autumn In Melbourne Bridal Portraits
Much like the changing seasons, a relationship weathers the various shifts and changes that life brings. For this couple, their bridal portraits were not just a celebration of their love, but also a celebration of the start of their new life in Australia. Photographed against the breathtaking backdrop of Melbourne’s autumn colours, they had eyes only for each other, and the vibrant hues of red, orange and brown with pops of green certainly brought warmth to the portraits. Kenny Ng of Bitesize Visuals: “Len Jin and Melissa were in a long distance relationship before tying the knot last year. They moved to Australia a few months later and these photos…

A Colourful Side To Melbourne
Melbourne has always been a favourite amongst couples when it comes to bridal portraits, and this couple is no different. We can understand why – there’s certainly a wealth of naturally beautiful backdrops for photographs there. From the graffiti covered walls of Hosier Lane in Melbourne’s CBD to the vibrant beach houses famously lining Mornington Beach, or the breathtaking colours of the coast and the falling leaves of autumn in many of Melbourne’s public parks, the opportunities are countless. Many thanks to Multifolds Photography for these bridal portraits.

Pantone Colour of the Year Wedding: Rose Quartz & Serenity
From the sweet pink peonies and roses of the bride’s bouquet to the tranquil blue hue of the bridesmaids’ dresses and groomsmen’s pocket squares, this wedding had inadvertently blended two of the trendiest colours of the year: Pantone’s rose quartz (pastel pink) and serenity (blue). This is the first time that Pantone has chosen two colours for Colour of the Year, and just like how the wedding was a beautiful event for two people starting a life together, the two colours together created a beautiful finish for this Melbourne wedding, set against the city skyline. Thanks to Alison Mayfield Photography Studio for capturing these moments.

A DIY Urban Industrial Chic Wedding
This couple made DIY so much more enjoyable. Their courage to explore different materials and prototypes to come up with something different and new made this wedding thoroughly theirs. They might have co-founded a laser cutting company but they didn’t just use it, they took the opportunity to push boundaries and reveal even more possibilities. We love the contemporary industrial theme. Thanks, Jonathan Ong, for sending this set over.

Melbourne Graffiti Alley
We love her tulle skirt, and how the colours of Melbourne are splashed throughout this set of photos. They’re really fun, and these are the kind of photos you want in the photo frames in your new home. Thanks, WeFreeze Photography, for sending this over. Good job! Jinny of WeFeeeze Photography: “We had some themes and locations in mind that we wanted to try out during this shooting trip. Places with colourful graffiti, including gritty, retro alleys and industrial areas. Of course we couldn’t miss out on some of the unique cafés that are easily found in Melbourne too. Gary and Xinhui’s pre-wedding style is pretty funky, and they loved…

When Two Really Become One
It was a gorgeous autumn wedding with wonderful weather and a picturesque location to match. Looking at the groom’s mum in a sari and the bride’s mum in a ‘ao dai’, you know this isn’t just about the coming together of two people, but a marriage of two great families. Victoria and Jithma were married in a beautiful church in Middle Park, before heading to Melbourne’s CBD (Central Business District) to take their photos. Making their day even more memorable was an unexpected appearance by a Star Wars character. Their reception for family and friends also took place in the city, at a restaurant called Comme, where there were plenty…
