A Modern and Elegant Wedding at Seven Terraces Hotel, Penang

Colour us impressed with the level of detail that went into this gorgeous wedding, it’s so full of texture, colour and personality! Despite the traditional Peranakan-themed space, the newlyweds managed to weave a variety of modern touches into the décor so that everything came together beautifully. Many thanks to Jenny Sun Photography for capturing all the stylish details. Reuben and Ji-An: “There were so many moments that were our favourites. For Reuben, it was the exchanging of vows and his piano performance. For Ji-An, the speeches, Reuben’s performance, and the father-daughter dance were really memorable. When we were planning our wedding with Hui Wen from Soiree Lab, there were so…

A Lush, Cosy Wedding with a Pop of Pink at Awesome Canteen @ Sekeping Victoria, Penang

Keeping the theme neutral with green, white and gold, the newlyweds found other ways to make small elements of their wedding really pop, like that dash of bright pink that served as both wedding aisle and backdrop! With a Bible verse about love printed on, it was definitely eyecatching, and framed the couple beautifully as they said “I do”. The bride’s choice of bridal dress was relaxed and chic, and the venue, which was filled with the couple’s nearest and dearest, ensured that it was a ceremony befitting the newlyweds’ love for each other. Thanks, Snap by Three, for these photos and What A Bash, for the beautiful styling!

A DIY Ethereal Luxe Tropical Wedding at Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa Penang

We love the warmth and thought poured into this beautiful wedding at Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa Penang. To celebrate the beginning of the rest of their lives together, they chose the theme of “ethereal luxe tropical”, a soothing and gorgeous colour palette with intimate details that highlighted the people and parts of their lives that they cared about. We were deeply moved by the way they left a note on a chair for a parent who was not there. What a beautiful gesture to honour the love of a father. Thanks for these brilliant captures, MunKeat Studio!

Elegant Wedding With a Touch of Penang Nyonya Charm at Seven Terraces, Georgetown

We adore the old fashioned Penang Nyonya elements in this exquisite wedding, which took place at Seven Terraces in Georgetown, Penang. The cosy venue featured charming heritage tones as the couple complemented the existing décor with modern touches – a sassy black lace ‘qipao’ to match the groom’s necktie of black and mahogany stripes, as well as a pale pink bouquet. Thanks for these superb shots, Yung Yaw and Manoj of Mun Keat Studio!

A Blue Rustic Wedding In Sekeping Victoria, Penang

Ranging from baby blue to cobalt, the many shades of blue were the perfect colour palette for this intimate rustic themed wedding. Touches of blue were found in the bride’s bouquet and baby’s breath decorations, which complemented the wooden decorative elements such as tree trunk wood carvings, long wooden dining tables and twine. The bride looked absolutely resplendent in her gown, flanked by her bridesmaids all in light blue (but each in a dress matching their own style), while the groom was handsome in his deep navy suit and surrounded by his groomsmen all in their own dapper attire. Many thanks to Louis Loo Photography for capturing this sweet set…

A Gold And Tiffany Blue DIY Wedding At Suffolk House, Penang

Choosing to DIY your own wedding can be overwhelming, but this bride and groom each picked out a colour and ran with their ideas. She chose gold while he chose Tiffany blue – two colours that look amazing together, much like the couple themselves. With joyful yellow balloons decorating the wedding aisle, the bridesmaids (each in mismatched bridesmaid outfits) walked down the aisle with parasols in lieu of floral bouquets. For the reception, the vintage decorative elements, such as the gold painted wine bottles, perfectly contrasted against the modern chandeliers of the venue. Thanks to Anna-Rina Photography for this beautiful set of photos that capture the unbridled joy and happy…

Contemporary Oriental Wedding In E&O Hotel, Penang

Not your usual oriental wedding, this is elegant and modern at the same time. The blue porcelain theme is stunning and gorgeous. Thanks, Adam Ong Photography, for sending over this gorgeous set. Jean: “Some of the most memorable moments were the walk down the aisle during the garden wedding ceremony, the moment my dad gave my hand over to Ken, that father and daughter hug (that was probably our first in 10-15 years!), and the feeling that all your loved ones are there to witness these moments.” Ken: “I won’t forget the look on her dad’s face when he gave her hand over to me, as well as that sudden…
