A Quirky ‘Moonrise Kingdom’-Inspired Night Safari Wedding in Singapore

Now here’s a wedding for these Covid times – one that is outdoors and with facemasks! Turning the pandemic facemask on its head while also paying homage to Wes Anderson’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ and ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’, this couple incorporated “foxy” masks into their wedding, to brilliant effect. We love the rustic feel and nature vibes of the venue, not to mention the quirky aesthetics and fun additions in the form of exotic animals that made an appearance during the Night Safari! What a wonderful way to celebrate your wedding with family and friends. Many thanks to Leslie Photography for this beautiful set of photographs. Paige: “It rained throughout the morning…

A Stylish DIY Floral Wedding at Raffles Hotel, Singapore

What’s a wedding without flowers? We never want to find out, and especially not when the bride is a wedding florist herself! Linnette from Floral Magic knew right off the bat that she wanted lots of flowers, but what truly made her day special was getting to say “I do” to the love of her life, and seeing her family and friends come together for the celebration. Many thanks to Bloc Memoire Photography for these photos. Linnette: “There were so many memorable moments! Both of us catching each other’s eyes at the end of the aisle, my niece hijacking my sister’s speech with a song because she wanted to perform,…

Artistic and Dreamy Bridal Portraits with LED Lights

Not only has the pandemic affected wedding celebrations and receptions, but couples also found themselves limited to local spots when it came to shooting bridal portraits. It didn’t help that Singapore is a rather small country, but fortunately, it has a vibrant artistic community and photographers who found ways to make photoshoots interesting. Often, this meant trying new things and going outside of their comfort zone. Here, Pixioo Photography experimented with LED lights for these night portraits, and we are in love with the results. A Lush, Intimate Floral-Themed Wedding With Pops Of Colour At Tamarind Hill

The question we’ve all asked lately is, how will weddings look like now with Covid-19? We’ve had ZOOM weddings, weddings at home, weddings with just 10 people… For Rebecca and Wy Keat, they had all the usual excitement of the day, but with just 50 people and a Zoom call for everyone who could not be there. Paring things down meant highlighting the things that mattered. The bride also ensured that everything could be reusable, and that both her and the groom had time with their loved ones on their special day. We love the pops of joyful orange and the warmth of the venue – what a truly perfect…

A Fun-Filled, Cream-Coloured Classic Wedding at St. Regis Caroline’s Mansion, Singapore

Simple yet elegant with romantic personal touches, the quiet glamour of this special day was all in the details. From the textures on the bride’s dress and veil to the beautiful floral choices, all set against an Art Deco-inspired backdrop, it’s no wonder this couple (and their guests) were all smiles. Many thanks to Smittenpixels Photography for this sweet set of photos. Irish: “We enjoyed our second march-in the most as it was very fun. We had tequila shots with our guests while we danced in to the song ‘Built to Last’. We wanted our wedding to be classy, elegant and romantic. The colour theme was cream, lilac and a…

A Modern Art-inspired Floral Wedding at an Art Gallery in Singapore

File this one under wedding inspirations! Who knew an art gallery would be so perfect for a wedding, but of course – the perfect lighting, white walls, beautiful pieces of art as the backdrop and an intimate setting… what more could you ask for? We also love how the bride and groom were styled to complement the decorative elements in this space. Many thanks to The Wildest Dreams, 8dec and This Humid House for this gorgeously styled shoot, and to Maritha Mae for capturing these beautiful photos. Pei Li of 8dec: “For this modern art-inspired wedding editorial, our team searched high and low to find the perfect light-filled, minimalist art…

Colourful and Artsy Bridal Portraits At ArtScience Museum, Singapore

The ‘Future World: Where Art Meets Science’ exhibition by teamLab at ArtScience Museum has certainly made its rounds on social media, and we love how these newlyweds took it one step further by making it part of their bridal portraits. The bright and joyful digital playground served as a great backdrop for the couple to mark the beginning of their new chapter. Many thanks to Andri Tei Photography for capturing these beautiful shots!

A Bright and Tropical Intimate Backyard Garden Wedding

What a dream to be able to get married in your own home! For this couple, the bride’s home was full of memories, love and cosy, intimate moments, so it made sense to have their solemnisation ceremony there, especially since they would be moving out soon. We love the pops of colour – the bright and joyful reds, oranges and yellows – and the Balinese inspiration that went so well with the lush tropical vibe. Everything came together with so much love. Many thanks to Present On Pixels for capturing these beautiful wedding shots. Eelaine: “We forgot the rings! Luckily, it was in my bedroom, which was right upstairs. Dennis…

An Oriental Themed Styled Shoot at Mandai Connection, Singapore

We love the oriental artistry of this beautiful styled shot at Mandai Connection by Everything With Crates. The colour play with pastels and blush shimmer gives these images an exquisite touch that is as romantic as it is elegant. Thank you for these lovely pictures, Natalie Wong Photography! Inspired by the Chinese folklore ‘Butterfly Lovers’, this album recreates the dramatic love story of Liang Shan Bo and Zhu Yin Tai, also known as the Chinese version of Romeo and Juliet. Soft romantic hues, floral embroidery and butterfly elements take centre stage on this gorgeous set, highlighting the tender devotion of the couple.
