    Two Parts Of A Whole

Two people who come together in a marital union often bring their own stories to the relationship, as they balance each other out in personality, interests and choices. Together, they’re a force to be reckoned with! We love this truly creative stop motion video that Funkydali has put together for Halina and Amir, which showcases their personalities against the gorgeous colonial backdrop of Kuala Lumpur and the dreamy landscape off the coast. Complemented by the bride’s impeccable taste, these bridal portraits and engagement video perfectly tell their love story.

A Vibrant Tropical Rooftop Party At Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral

What’s better than a party filled with vibrant colours, whimsical elements and a tropical theme? A tropical wedding party, of course! From the gilded pineapples to the poolside elements and amenities, a pool party right in the heart of the city would be the perfect setting for you to celebrate with loved ones. Throw in refreshing cocktails, bottled beers and delicious bites, and you’ll have a party to remember. TWN had the honour of having the couple Nick Davis and Eunice Lew, both talented singers in their own right, with us for this shoot. They are witty and fun, and we had loads of laughs, especially while working on the…

    Creative Intro Video

Bored of seeing everything in 2D? What if you had the ability to transform whatever was on your computer screen into live action? If you are familiar with Adobe Illustrator, this will be a lot of fun for you. One of the things we enjoy the most about Mr & Mrs Photography’s work is the intro video they include with their bridal portraits, and this stop motion opening video is brilliant. We could totally imagine the wedding guests cheering with excitement as they watched it. Chen of Mr & Mrs Photography: “Swee Mei and Gary are both art directors in an advertising agency. It took us quite a while to…

Oh My, We Shrunk The Bride And Groom!

At the end of the day, stop motion isn’t only about technique but also about the storyline. The ability to craft a good story is what makes one stand out. In the Philippines, some believe it’s bad luck to wear your wedding gown before your big day – how they do fittings we’re not quite sure – but this couple twisted that idea and made it fun. Bringing Two Different Worlds Together

This stop motion video actually tells this couple’s love story quite well, using an iPad and iPhone to show that they are worlds apart and how they were brought together. Renatus testified that this was no walk in the park; it took them a lot more time to plan than a regular video would, but it definitely was a fun experience. Stop Motion Ideas

Stop motion is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Stop motion can be done with literally anything. Here is a list of good ideas and mediums: Vintage Style – The images for this stop motion video were shot during the couple’s weekend roadtrip to San Luis Obispo using a DSLR. Other images were taken in various locations near their home. All images are single frames that they put together to create this stop motion video, which…

    Stop Motion Video: The Story

Funky Dali: “Childhood lovers? You could almost say that. They first met as innocent teenagers, and as the guy said, ‘It was almost love at first sight.’ But like a dramatic plotline, their relationship didn’t blossom until 12 years later. Trust us, the details are worthy of a soppy Korean drama. “We wanted something really unusual for Niena and Afeef, so we decided to make a stop-motion video. After much planning, three and a half months of production, and thousands of edited pictures, the couple’s love story was finally shared with a thousand viewers on their wedding day in Perlis.” NIENA & AFEEF {Malaysia} Videography and Editing by Funky Dali…

    Under The Golden Sunset

With an intention to keep things unusual, Julia and CJ approached this photographer to do their bridal portraits. They initially wanted a movie-themed photoshoot, complete with reenactments of both indie flicks and blockbuster hits. But they later changed their minds, knowing that their more senior wedding guests might not appreciate the radical idea. So Julia and CJ brought the photographer along with them as they travelled the least-explored states of Malaysia, in the hope that he might capture their charisma and the dynamic of their relationship. The essence of their bridal portraits is simply a couple embarking on a fun-filled journey and doing silly things to amuse each other. JULIA…
