An Unconventional Rustic and Black Wedding at Sekeping Jugra

When life as we knew it stopped for so many of us in lockdown, those who had planned to get married during this time were met with uncertainty – to postpone or cancel all together? And if they postponed their wedding, until when? For this couple, as soon as the Malaysian government gave the green light, everything was quickly put in motion for a cosy, intimate wedding. No matter that it wasn’t the big soiree that they had originally intended, the most important people were there and that was all that mattered. Many thanks to Trees On The Moon for capturing this beautiful wedding.

  • The Wedding Notebook Covid-19 issue

The Wedding Notebook Magazine July 2020 – Issue 31

This issue is dedicated to the courageous couples out there who have refused to let this Covid-19 pandemic stop them from declaring their love for each other. Some have live-streamed their wedding ceremonies on social media, while others have simply scaled down their celebrations to include only their closest of loved ones. One couple decided to commemorate the day they had originally intended to get married on with a photoshoot, while another crossed borders and endured 14 days of quarantine so that they could be reunited with their families for their big day. It warmed our hearts to read these stories. The way we see it, weddings have evolved for…

A Wedding Styled Shoot With a Rustic Autumn Theme

For this shoot, Pathway Events & Design went with a rustic autumn theme in a darker palette to complement Colony @ Star Boulevard in KLCC’s New York loft-inspired interior. The rich hues of deep purple, marsala, champagne and mauve were an ideal match for the gorgeous grey walls and opulent chandeliers. Kudos to Trees On The Moon for capturing these stunning images!

Thank you for these lovely captures, Trees on the Moon!

Spunky and Preppy Bridal Portraits Taken in Port Klang and Puncak Alam

This colourful set of bridal portraits had us smiling at the couple’s delight in each other. They wanted something casual, fun and adventurous – and the bride had made it clear that the groom was not to see her in her gown until their wedding day. Being open to suggestions, they heeded their photographer’s advice to shoot at Port Klang, around an abandoned factory and what they thought was an abandoned railway! Their experimentation with a “smoke bomb” drew plumes of red and teal, not to mention laugher, and best of all, everything was captured in an album that will give them great memories for the coming seasons of their…

Fun and Flirty Wedding Portraits in Two Completely Different Locations

In the hectic months leading up to a wedding, a fun and flirty wedding portrait shoot often becomes an opportunity for the couple to relax and let loose a little. For Cheryl and Chrysler, they knew exactly how they wanted to be styled and where they wanted to go – Bean Brothers in Kota Damansara, a unique venue with an industrial flavour, and University Putra Malaysia (UPM). “We never tire of shooting in UPM, and also suggested a nearby forest reserve for the second look,” says wedding photographer Trees on The Moon. “We love this set as we meant to capture something that was meaningful and believable – nothing too…
