A Romantic, Moody Floral Wedding at Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur

The pandemic definitely threw a spanner into the works, but that didn’t stop Eileen and Nicholas from planning their dream wedding – and having the time of their lives when they finally got to celebrate their union. We know many couples have had to recalibrate their wedding plans, and these newlyweds were no different. From the décor to the delectable cheeseboard, they put extra thought into their special day to make their guests feel as if they had “travelled” somewhere. Many thanks to Natasha Khoo of The Peak Xperience for the gorgeous setup and Vinoth Raj Pillai for capturing these beautiful photos of joy! Additional decor photos above in this…

The Wedding Notebook Magazine July 2021 – Issue 35

With travel plans and many weddings put on hold, we hope this issue will inspire you as you plan your own pandemic wedding. Most of these couples will have waited at least a year for their big day, and there’s a couple who waited 693 days! Despite the pared down guestlists and last-minute changes, each of these weddings were a dream come true, featuring unique highlights such as the creative use of an abandoned space, a yacht celebration, a Santorini-like venue, and a surprise retreat in place of an after party! What’s that saying? “If you can’t change the situation, change your attitude.” See how you can emulate a destination…

A Gorgeous Earth on Red Indian Wedding at the Dome Marquee, Puteh Subang

This wedding album is absolutely stunning and unforgettable! We love how tasteful and immaculate this gorgeous Indian wedding at the Dome Marquee in Puteh Subang, Malaysia, is, with its every detail encapsulating the crucial nuances of tradition yet with a modern flair. Thank you for these brilliant captures, Vinoth Raj Pillai! Being similar in personality meant this couple easily decided on a theme that best represented them both. Minimalists in their lifestyle and being nature lovers, they picked earth elements and neutral tones as a general theme, which worked wonderfully with the venue. The big draw in having their wedding at the Dome Marquee, Puteh Subang, was its natural light,…

Intimate Wedding at Swiss Garden Beach Resort, Damai Laut

There’s something about religious weddings that’s very moving. In the case of this lovely couple, they infused modern touches into what would have been a traditional Hindu wedding, making for a respectful and memorable balance of important traditions in a contemporary setting. Surrounded by flowers and décor with rustic forest vibes, the celebrations began when the sun was high in the sky and lasted until the amber streaks of dusk had set in, with fairy lights lighting up the reception dinner. Thank you for seeing the beauty in simple things, VRP Photography!

A Poignant and Intimate Pre-Wedding Shoot in Queenstown New Zealand

We were absolutely floored by the magnificence of Queenstown, New Zealand, as captured in this couple’s pre-wedding shoot. These amazing shots certainly evoke the deep sense of quality, life and beauty that only nature can provide. This adventurous couple worked hard in the cold, enduring various weather conditions and cosying up at the various spots they discovered with their photographer. The miles of meadow, with snowcapped mountains in the distance, billowy clouds overhead and the brilliant galaxy of stars in the night sky, are simply out of this world! Thanks, VRP Photography, for this beautiful set!

A Fairytale Church Destination Wedding In Italy

Love can truly happen anywhere! This is an East meets West love story: the bride is Malaysian, the groom is Italian, and they were brought together in Australia. Tying the knot in the groom’s hometown of Caserta, the newlyweds exchanged their vows at the Cathedral of San Michele Arcangelo. Located on top of a hill overlooking the town, surrounded by lush greenery and covered in a dreamy fog, the beautiful thousand-year-old church was right out of a fairytale. The church’s classical architecture was also gorgeously complemented by the pink tones of the bridesmaids’ dresses and refreshing white flowers and décor. Many thanks to VRP Photography for this captivating set of…
