    An Artistic Monochrome Styled Shoot

We’re besotted with these drop-dead gorgeous styled bridal portraits! An art gallery is the perfect venue as it allows you to start with a blank canvas, and this concept of incorporating art into romance is a refreshing breath of fresh air. A modern take on everything, from attire to styling, it also shows that neutrals and monochrome palettes can be just as exciting. Many thanks to Ribka of Ever Mine Ever Thine Ever Ours for this chic concept, and to WeFreeze Photography for capturing these shots perfectly. Ribka of Ever Mine Ever Thine Ever Ours: “The concept for the shoot was inspired by One Line Art, which is a simple…

An Elegant Oxford Blue And Gold Wedding At The Westin Kuala Lumpur

Keeping things elegant yet modern, this beautiful colour palette of white, blue and gold, complete with touches of sparkle and lace, was a sight to behold. With the ballroom’s high ceilings, long tables flanking the runway, and white cloth draped along the walls, the reception, which was awash in blue light, had a majestic yet modern vibe. Final finishing touches were added in the form of gilded Tiffani chairs, breathtakingly elaborate floral table centrepieces, and sparkly lace tablecloths. And of course not forgetting that amazing floral photo wall, too! Many thanks to WeFreeze Photography for capturing the glamour and elegance of the night, as well as the remarkable details and…

An Old School Chinese Gate-Crashing Ceremony

Most Chinese wedding customs have been modernised but some traditions still remain, such as the tea ceremony and the gate-crashing ceremony, where the groom picks up the bride. These are, without a doubt, the most sentimental and joyous aspects of the whole day. The gatecrashing ceremony fills the house with a lot of laughter as both sides of the family get acquainted with one another through ice-breaker games; while the tea ceremony is a traditional and sweet way of introducing the new family member to each side. Here, we love how Rachel was resplendent in her ‘kua’ and how charming Chris looked in his traditional Chinese outfit, plus that beautiful…

A Traditional Chinese Gate-Crashing And Tea Ceremony In Red

This couple is proof that tradition does not have to mean boring and old-fashioned at all. Done right, it can look vibrant and lively, and be a meaningful reminder of our roots and heritage. Li Jun and Erwin went all out, with the bride in full traditional bridal regalia: a resplendent “Qua”, the traditional Chinese wedding costume, complete with a gold headdress, lacy red veil and embroidered shoes. Her entourage of “Chi Mui” matched her in striking red cheongsams, while the groom himself showed up in a mandarin-collared suit. The gate-crashing ceremony created a lively atmosphere of joy and laughter, and really set the tone for the tea ceremony that…

A Vibrant Floral Wedding At Ciao Ristorante

Every part of this wedding had flowers – from the decorations to the invites and art to the giant peony floral backdrop (that was used during the bride and groom’s ROM and later on at the reception), and even the groom’s joyful floral blazer! We love how the colours instantly added so much joy, with yellow hues complementing the shocking pink and leafy greens. The abundance of floral elements kept the colour palette happy, as well as kept the other decorative elements minimal. Accentuating the flowers were fairy lights, wooden textures and, of course, the gorgeous smiles from the delighted couple and their friends and family. Many thanks to WeFreeze…

    Melbourne Graffiti Alley

We love her tulle skirt, and how the colours of Melbourne are splashed throughout this set of photos. They’re really fun, and these are the kind of photos you want in the photo frames in your new home. Thanks, WeFreeze Photography, for sending this over. Good job! Jinny of WeFeeeze Photography: “We had some themes and locations in mind that we wanted to try out during this shooting trip. Places with colourful graffiti, including gritty, retro alleys and industrial areas. Of course we couldn’t miss out on some of the unique cafés that are easily found in Melbourne too. Gary and Xinhui’s pre-wedding style is pretty funky, and they loved…

A Quiet Affair At Four Seasons Resort Langkawi

We thought we’d seen small weddings, but this takes the cake. WeFreeze Photography was introduced to this couple by a friend. We love the casual shoot and how the couple just lazed on the hammock. Teresa: “It was a small, intimate wedding, just the two of us and my parents, who were also our official witnesses. We’re Portuguese; it was our first time in Malaysia. We have a Malay friend who says wonderful things about Malaysia, so we knew it was worth the visit. “At the same time, we were looking for a venue and a country where we could be married legally instead of just having a symbolic ceremony.…
