A Warm Hues Beach Wedding at SALA Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort

A wedding is a celebration of two individuals and their love for one another, which makes this season’s intimate weddings all the more special. This bride and groom took full advantage of the gorgeous beach backdrop by keeping their colour palette neutral, sticking with white florals and lush greenery. The bridesmaids wore shades of burnt orange, red and yellow, adding vibrant pops of colour to the celebration, and the bride and groom exchanged their vows before a pretty circle made of wheat stalks and leaves. Thanks to Peter Herman Photography for this gorgeous set of photos! TAYLOR & KRIS {Thailand} Photography by Peter Herman Photography / Videography by LEURA Film…

An Intimate and Whimsical Floral Wedding

There’s nothing like flowers to mark a joyous occasion, and we’re in love with the wheat stalks and bright blooms of this beautiful and whimsical wedding. With the world beginning to open up again, Abby and Julo are one of many couples who opted for a smaller celebration, but that didn’t stop them from going all out to enjoy their big day. A downsized wedding doesn’t mean a lack of detail; if anything, the bride’s gorgeous ankle-length gown, sleek over-sized sunglasses, and bow that was attached to her veil were all the right elements for the perfect Audrey Hepburn look. Many thanks to ProudRad for this gorgeous set of wedding…

A Boho-Chic Garden Wedding in Bali, Indonesia

There is so much to take in here, starting with that beautiful tree under which the bridal couple exchanged their vows. Every element reflected the couple’s boho-chic theme, from the bridal party’s henna tattoos and headpieces to the flowers and furniture. A small celebration meant everyone was able to spend time with the happy couple, as they embarked on their new chapter as husband and wife. Thanks to Terralogical for capturing this wedding and all its lovely details. Heather: “Brian and I are from Scotland, and we’ve since relocated to Perth, Western Australia. We love the warmth, relaxing in the sun and spending time with our not-so-small puppy Hendricks, a…

A Modern Malay Wedding in The Oak Hall, Kuala Lumpur

Most traditional weddings tend to be very big affairs, which is understandable. After all, the marriage of two individuals should be celebrated, and as the saying goes, the more the merrier, right? Not anymore. These days, it’s more about the bridal couple and their closest family and friends. This wedding was classically perfect in so many ways, from the exquisite lace on the bride’s gown and veil to the groom’s navy suit. We also love the bridesmaids’ batik skirts and the groomsmen’s printed shirts. The décor was kept understated and modern, with red and white flowers and a simple bench for the dais, all bathed in gorgeous sunlight. Thanks to…

A Romantic Elopement Styled Shoot at The Datai Langkawi

Malaysians are truly fortunate to have such an abundance of beautiful resorts and beaches on our doorstep. It might be a while before we can hold destination weddings again, but there’s nothing stopping you from saying “I do” by the beach, or against the backdrop of a lush rainforest. From the sun-soaked private beaches of Datai Bay to the lush gardens and rainforests surrounding The Datai Langkawi, could this be any more perfect for an intimate wedding or romantic elopement? Located at the north-western tip of Langkawi island, this exclusive resort has all the answers: a cosy, sunset ceremony on the beach, perhaps, or the magical deck overlooking the rainforest…

A Stylish DIY Floral Wedding at Raffles Hotel, Singapore

What’s a wedding without flowers? We never want to find out, and especially not when the bride is a wedding florist herself! Linnette from Floral Magic knew right off the bat that she wanted lots of flowers, but what truly made her day special was getting to say “I do” to the love of her life, and seeing her family and friends come together for the celebration. Many thanks to Bloc Memoire Photography for these photos. Linnette: “There were so many memorable moments! Both of us catching each other’s eyes at the end of the aisle, my niece hijacking my sister’s speech with a song because she wanted to perform,…

A Chic, Nature-Filled, Dusty Blue Wedding at Tamarind Springs, KL

Weddings don’t always have to be formal affairs, you can get all dolled up for a low-key celebration too. Here, we love the combination of a dusty blue colour palette and wooden textures, surrounded by lush greenery and elegant blooms. The bridal couple also added personal touches in the form of a sports jersey guestbook and a delectable gelato stand featuring Malaysian flavours. Many thanks to Zach Chin of MunKeat Studios for this delightful set of wedding photos! Jocelyn: “Our highlights of the day were multiple tear-jerking speeches, as well as a surprise video from my dad. He had spent several months practising and recording a song! “We have always…

An Impromptu Silver and Blue Church Wedding

For many couples, a postponement of their wedding was inevitable when the pandemic hit. With Bianca and Modesto, however, they decided to bring forward their wedding date and just tie the knot anyway! Saying ‘I do’ to the love of your life really just needs the both of you, a handful of witnesses (loved ones and family), and the priest to officiate. Standing before just 10 guests and with social distancing protocols in place, they pulled it off! That didn’t mean they had to compromise on the décor and flowers or their wonderful day. With the mothers of the bride and groom looking resplendent in their grey-blue gowns and the…

Indoor Wedding with Bohemian Touches at Glasshouse at Seputeh

What an amazing ambience this couple achieved at Glasshouse at Seputeh! It had the cosiness of an indoor wedding with the bonus of a well-crafted outdoor feel. Thank you for the lovely shots, Chong Yee Photography. The newlyweds set out to put together a bohemian themed wedding, was made possible by Pax Floral and Signature Moments. They opted for neutral colours, as they did not want anything too bright, and decided on Glasshouse at Seputeh as their venue.

An Unconventional Rustic and Black Wedding at Sekeping Jugra

When life as we knew it stopped for so many of us in lockdown, those who had planned to get married during this time were met with uncertainty – to postpone or cancel all together? And if they postponed their wedding, until when? For this couple, as soon as the Malaysian government gave the green light, everything was quickly put in motion for a cosy, intimate wedding. No matter that it wasn’t the big soiree that they had originally intended, the most important people were there and that was all that mattered. Many thanks to Trees On The Moon for capturing this beautiful wedding.

A Spontaneous Post-Quarantine Family Lunch At JOLOKO, Kuala Lumpur

This couple’s love story has understated romance and spontaneity sprinkled throughout, right from the time they first met to how they decided to tie the knot! Because of Covid-19 and their being based in Singapore during the Circuit Breaker, they weathered 14 days of quarantine so they could come back to Malaysia just for their ROM! There was no theme, just a celebration of love and their two families coming together. With a cosy gathering of just 20 people, they toasted to their union as they embarked on the next chapter. This lovely set of photos was beautifully captured by Jasmine A. Photography. The Wedding: “We had zero concept. All…
