An Old Hollywood Glam Wedding at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur

We just love the abundance of flowers in this fantastic wedding at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Imagine the rich scents that must have filled this ballroom, which was so beautifully set up by Wishing Tree and La Art Floral & Events. Thank you for these terrific shots, Chong Yee Photography! The bride had always envisioned her wedding to be glamorous and elegant – a bit of an Old Hollywood vibe. She certainly achieved that here, with the flowers coming together with the touches of gold, blush, cream and rich burgundy to create an amazing vintage ambience. The Four Seasons’ grand ballroom was perfect for the do, thanks to its…

A Glamorous Paradise of an Outdoor Wedding at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa

Weddings really are about celebrating with the people who have stood with you through your courtship. When this couple began planning their wedding, they first considered a destination wedding on a tropical island. However, they soon dismissed the idea, knowing that not all of their family and friends would be able to make it. Thanks, MunKeat Photography, for sharing such a gorgeous night with us.

1920s Shanghainese and Jazz Themed Wedding at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

We found ourselves poring over this gorgeous wedding album taken at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur again and again for its rich tones and meaningful accents – all thanks to the thoughtful bride. Having grown up in a traditional Chinese family, she was eager to embrace her heritage by making a bold statement at the most significant celebration of her life. Together with her groom, they decided on a 1920s Shanghainese and jazz theme, creating an opulent balance between traditional and modern. With Wishing Tree’s help, they got a photo wall that provided a traditional touch, while the banquet hall resembled a jazz bar. Thank you for these captivating photos,…

Rustic Foliage At InterContinental Kuala Lumpur

With each new theme, the versatility of a space increases – if only we allow our minds to imagine what could be. Dressed in wild greenery and adorned with a splash of gold and bronze, this rustic foliage themed setup at the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur is the result of a great collaboration between The Wedding Notebook and Wishing Tree. Many thanks to Inlight Photos for these amazing captures! For some time now, we have been wanting to explore a wild forest concept, and the opportunity finally arose. Gloriously Gold And Blue At The Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

It all boils down to sound decisions, a quality venue and efficient vendors. Believe it or not, this couple hosted three wedding reception dinners with just six weeks of planning! Lacking the time to even consult with a wedding planner, the bride picked her favourite colour – pastel blue – and left the rest to her décor vendor, Wishing Tree. The combination of hydrangeas, ivory roses, white tulips and phalaenopsis softened the grand ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, and helped to create a dreamy fairyland ambience that the guests loved. Drawing inspiration from their college days in London, which was where they met, Shanru and Wee Jin themed…

A Yellow Retro Party At UoVo

Inspired by the hippie culture of the ’60s, this styled shoot was also a birthday surprise for two special friends who had been wanting to reminisce the good old days of dapper fashion. Everyone loved the nostalgia of the evening – from the groovy hits of the swinging ’60s and delectable nibbles to the vintage collectibles and props in psychedelic prints. Theme parties are always great fun and allow for interesting and unexpected décor and memorabilia, which add greatly to the camaraderie of the evening. Plus you get a fantastic photo album from it! A Navy Blue And Blush Pink Rustic Wedding At DoubleTree By Hilton, JB

Rustic yet elegant with a sprinkle of glittery glamour – this wedding was equal parts timeless and modern. The contrasting theme colours of navy blue and sweet blush pink had wooden elements such as the groom’s wooden bowtie and the groomsmen’s brown suspenders to add a rustic touch, with gold as the subtle thread tying it all together from day to night. Many thanks to Yung Yaw of MunKeat Studio for capturing this beautiful set of photos.
