An affordable venue will free up your budget for other things that may matter more, like finding the right food caterer, the right wedding decorator, or the perfect wedding photographer for your wedding.

1. K’Seena House

K’Seena House is a 100 year old Rumah Melayu made of Chengal wood located in Kuang, Selangor. Originally built in Kota Bharu, Kelantan in the early 1900’s, the house was dismantled plank by plank, tile by tile and moved to its current location in 1996. Today, it serves as an event space for all occasions, from parties, meetings and exhibitions to celebrations, engagement or solemnisation ceremonies and wedding receptions. For weddings, K’Seena House also offers a fully furnished day use bridal suite with attached bathroom and amenities, that is air-conditioned.

2. Mutiara Hillhomes

Approximately 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur is a surprisingly pleasant locale of Mutiara Hillhomes. This property is made of a clubhouse and 4 cottage style villas with foot access to the quaint Tanglir River. Imagine a garden ceremony followed by an intimate reception with you and your 200 guests.

3. Jardin Event Venue

Jardin Event Venue has all the foundations for a rustic barn wedding, and if that is a wedding style you’re after, look no further than this space located in Janda Baik. An outdoor garden suitable for a ceremony is also available on site.

4. Sangkot Place

The Sangkot Place, located in Hulu Langat is a last offering we have on this extensive list. Situated in a quaint district, its well manicured lawns is soothing to the eyes and makes for beautiful pictures. The grounds are versatile and you can either host your ceremony on the main garden for larger parties or the mini garden for a more intimate affair. Looking for an intimate wedding space with a homey vibe. The Seavoy house has a gorgeous outdoor garden not immediately visible from the entrance, it certainly gives off secret garden vibes. Have your guest dine al-fresco, poolside space or even indoor. Whatever you choose, the photos are guaranteed to look fantastic.

6. Forest Valley Hall

Pragmatic space and a central location? Forest Valley Hall ticks a whole lot of venue checklist boxes. It’s easily become a popular choice for couples, and it’s easy to see the appeal. Guest park their vehicle on site a private lot and make their way into an unassuming building to find themselves affronted with a high ceiling glasshouse at the end of the wedding hall. The glasshouse allows natural light and the outdoor fauna in, the altar or dais area will look absolutely incredible in your wedding photos. There are few indoor halls to choose from and an outdoor garden wedding area with plenty of parking space.

7. Ampang Glasshouse

The Ampang Glasshouse is a 3 story building that functions as an event space. There are various spaces for guest to explore and mingle in. The rooftop glasshouse and has an intimate capacity of 64 seated guest that leads to an outdoor poolside lawn. It houses an emaculately manicured garden and is beautifully suited to smaller ceremonies.

8. Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, KLGCC

KLGCC’s banquet hall is Interiorly decorated in opulent English furnishing. High vaulted ceiling and views of the picturesque golf course from a private balcony itself as a distinguished venue. From simple affairs to grand weddings, this venue offers a hotel-like atmosphere without breaking the bank. Various other halls are available for rent if you’re looking to have your ceremony in a separate space. The SDCC is next door and they share similar rates on F&B.

9. A-Park, Puchong

Located in Puchong, A-Park is a lakeside property with a lawn area to host an intimate ceremony and canopied area for the reception. A one-stop shop, packages at A-park covers all the main components of a garden wedding which includes food & beverages, furnitures, decor, PA systems, even buggy car rides for your guest and almost everything in between, making it an effortless choice for those on a budget who don’t want to get their hands dirty with wedding planning. Packages start at RM24,000 for a guest count of 300.

10. KL & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall

Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, The KL & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall is a historic building designed in the Neoclassical style. A stone’s throw from the vibrant Petaling Street, this white ornate building is the perfect accessory for a vintage Chinese wedding setup. Rental starts from RM 4,900 and comes with basic amenities like stage, PA system, full- air conditioning. Complete the night with an after party at one the speakeasy bars in Petaling Street.
